Adopt Any Animal!
Every animal at the Zoo is available for symbolic adoption - from the smallest iguana to the largest elephant! You can purchase any of our adoption packages to help provide expert animal care Zoo-wide.
Christmas came early in the form of a perfect pygmy package! By symbolically adopting a pygmy hippo, you help support the entire hippo family at ZooTampa. From mother, ZsaZsa, to father, Pogo, and to little Holly Berry - your adoption is the gift that keeps on giving.
The seacows are a familiar Floridian sight as they swim, glide, and munch along our warm coasts and springs. Unfortunately, these gentle giants can sustain injuries from cold stress and boat strikes year-round. At the Zoo’s David A. Straz, Jr. Manatee Critical Care Center, we are committed to rescue, rehab and release manatees. Your support and adoption can help provide food and expert medical care for a Florida staple species.
The Zoo is home to 8 Bornean orangutans ranging from baby Dira to father, Goyung. You can watch all the stages of life in our family of playful primates. The family of redheads spend their days foraging for food, swinging around their habitat and caring for the two toddlers, Topi & Gojo, and the newest addition - Dira. Your symbolic adoption helps care for this family and raise awareness for their plight in the wild!
New Dogs in Town.
Have you met the newest dogs at ZooTampa? Hatari and Layla, an African painted dog pair, can be spotted in their new habitat in Safari Africa. Their gorgeous pattern acts as a camouflage to predators, so keep a sharp eye out! Your symbolic adoption will make any dog lover howl with excitement!
