Explore the Zoo like never before! Get up close and personal with a majestic Indian Rhino or hand-to-fin with playful stingrays. Learn from professionals what it takes to become a zookeeper, veterinarian or animal trainer. Get ready to experience VIP access, up-close animal encounters and soaking splashes on our water adventure, Roaring Springs. The fun is non-stop!

Summer Camps at a Glance


Camps are for K - 8th Grade
Completed K-8th grade as of Spring 2021


Camps are 9am-4pm, Mon-Fri
Extended care included from 8am-9am & 4pm-5pm


Prices are per camp, per child, and vary by camp


Camps are 1 week each,
from June 7th through August 6th
No camps week of July 5th

Every ZooTampa Summer Camp creates a truly unforgettable summer through unique opportunities such as building and creating enrichment for the animals in our care, participating in animal behavior observations, and experiencing amazing up close animal encounters!

Summer camps are ALL-INCLUSIVE! Each camper will receive:

  • Lunch & snack each day of camp
  • ZooTampa Summer Camp T-shirt
  • Refillable water bottle & pouch
  • Commemorative photo
  • Free before & aftercare available from 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm
  • A complimentary ticket to visit ZooTampa on another summer day

Safety Info

ZooTampa remains committed to providing a safe environment for our guests, employees and animals. We will continue to operate with enhanced safety and sanitation measures as outlined in our modified operations plan which include:
  • Limiting attendance to reduced safe capacity
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation throughout the Zoo
  • Conducting noninvasive temperature checks
  • Masks are required indoor and on Zoo hikes
Upon registration, a confirmation information email will be sent to you including a parent handbook. Please review for more detailed information.

Taking care of animals is a big job… are you up for the challenge? From zookeepers to veterinarians, and everyone in between, it takes a lot of people to keep the animals healthy and happy. Find out how they do it as you become a Dr. Zoo-little!

Ever wonder how an animal builds its home in the wild or how we make a home for them here at the zoo? Explore the many habitats at ZooTampa and learn how they meet our animals’ basic needs. Throughout the week, you’ll design all the elements to create your very own animal abode!

Get ready to get hands-on with some of our animal ambassadors! Learn all about them and perfect your animal handling techniques. Then, it’s your turn to shine as you star in a LIVE animal presentation for other campers, Zoo guests, and parents!

  • Refine your script writing and presentation skills, and end the week with a grand finale- a LIVE animal presentation starring YOU!
  • Meet & mingle with animal ambassadors up-close

My child very much enjoyed this camp. She was excited every morning to attend camp. She was able to experience things she had never gotten to do before even though she had been to the zoo numerous times.
