Are you ready to “Zoo-vive” the best week of camp ever? Learn about how animals survive in the wild, and how their amazing adaptations help them succeed. Then complete survival challenges of your own to see how much of a Zoo-vivor you have become!

Ever wonder how an animal builds its home in the wild or how we make a home for them here at the zoo? Explore the many habitats at ZooTampa and learn how they meet our animals’ basic needs. Throughout the week, you’ll design all the elements to create your very own animal abode!

Grab your passport and get ready for adventure! Travel through ZooTampa one habitat at a time and discover how animals adapt to some of the most unique homes on the planet. Then, find out how you can become a Habitat Hero in your own backyard!
Did you know that a bird’s beak inspired the design of a train? Or that dog fur led to the invention of Velcro? We learn from animals to make our lives better, and here at the zoo, our inventions can make our animals’ lives better too! Get ready to explore, invent, and innovate alongside the animals during this weeklong adventure!
Get ready to become a fierce competitor! Learn about animals’ extreme survival strategies, how they compete for resources, and the challenges they face. Then use that same knowledge to complete your own challenges. Let the games begin!

Learning about animals and their behavior is a key component to protecting them at the zoo and in the wild. Work with our animal care team to study some of our rescued residents, and then create a rehabilitation plan for one of them. Find out if they are a good candidate for release and discover ways we can all help our Florida native wildlife!
Dive deeper into the field of zookeeping and see first-hand what it’s like to care for the animals at ZooTampa. From cleaning habitats and providing enrichment to monitoring animal health and delivering keeper chats, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be a true Animal Care Expert!
