Looking for the perfect summer camp for your child? Well look no further because we’ve got the wildest camps in town! We’re breaking down all the information you’ll need to make this decision quick and easy!

All-inclusive programs:

  • Each camp is all-inclusive and includes:
  • Snacks
  • Lunch
  • Reusable water bottle
  • T-shirts
  • Commemorative photo.
  • Each camp has a small group size, providing the most immersive experience!

Experience wildlife: 

  • Campers will see over 30 different species of animals up-close!
  • Engage in keeper chats
  • Create connections with animal ambassadors and wildlife

 K-3rd Grade Camps:

  • Immersive activities:
  • Touring our elephant night house
  • Observing a behavioral session
  • Building bird toys for our hornbills
  • Touching a white rhino – woah!

4th-8th Grade Camps:

  • Work directly with our animal care team
  • Gain knowledge on animal behavior training techniques
  • Apply the skills learned on our animal ambassadors
  • Observe our Animal Care Team applying the same techniques.

Every camp will create an unforgettable and awesome summer for campers through cool opportunities such as, building and creating enrichment for the animals in our care, participating in animal behavior observations and experiencing amazing up close animal encounters.

Tuesdays are for the Toddlers!

Looking for fun toddler-friendly activities? ZooTampa is here to help! The first Tuesday of the month* is deemed Toddler Tuesday, where members can bring their little ones to enjoy story time, interactive games, songs, and an exclusive animal mingle.

Crafted for a toddler audience, the event runs a maximum of 45 minutes and is designed specifically with your child’s development and interests in mind.

Here are some tips for the perfect Toddler Tuesday filled with fun memories!

Tuesdays are for the Toddlers! - ZooTampa at Lowry Park
  1. Arrive early for optimal parking.
  2. Allow extra time for bag check and walking to ZooVenture Theater.
  3. Keep your membership card out, for easy retrieval at ZooVenture Theater.
  4. Bring a snack (small snacks, baby food, and formula permitted).
  5. Want to read along with us? You can buy the featured book at Nature’s Kingdom Gift shop.
  6. Stroller parking is available right outside of the theater.
  7. Members may start entering theater at 10am, and the story is read at 10:15am followed by an animal mingle**.
  8. Guest passes apply – bring a friend!
  9. Don’t let the fun stop! Stay for more toddler friendly activities including taking a ride on Expedition Africa Safari Tram, petting the Stingrays, feeding the giraffes, and watching the Macaw Flyover.
  10. Meet an Aldabra tortoise during an up-close encounter! Members can enjoy this encounter at 11:30am everyday for only $15***.
  11. See Zoo babies including our newest Guenon monkey, the African painted pups and Amare the Southern white rhino.
  12. Wallaroo station is a toddler paradise! Tots can play in the splash pad, interact with goats at the petting zoo, soar on Boomer’s flyin’ bananas and more!
  13. Explore the school houses at Roaring Springs and feel the splash at Lookout Landing.
